Department of Mechanical Engineering at RIT offers two undergraduate programme and three postgraduate programs. Details with intake capacity of each programme is as follows:

About Design Engineering

Mechanical engineering department offers very focussed and specialised master program M Tech Mechanical Design Engineering.  This is two year fulltime post Graduate program, started in the year 1998 accredited three times by NBA New Delhi. This program offers   core courses, electives seminars mini project along with industry/ research internship. Highly expertise doctoral faculties of the department works on various research areas viz design engineering, smart and composite materials, tribology, vibration engineering, product design and development. 

The program offers course advanced mathematics, experimental stress analysis and synthesis of mechanism and many more choice based elective courses, student gain hands on expertise in modelling and analysis software tools used in industries.

About Mechanical Engineering (Thermal Engineering)

M Tech Mechanical thermal engineering program is perfect bend of engineering knowledge and its application in the field of thermal systems, processes etc. This course is offered by   Mechanical Engineering Department of Rajarambapu Institute of Technology. This is two year fulltime post Graduate program, started in the year 2015 accredited by NBA New Delhi. This program mainly focuses on the thermal aspect of engineering and explores the fields, like heat transfer, thermodynamics computational fluid dynamics, heating ventilation and air conditioning, refrigeration, cryogenic, thermal system design, Internal combustion engines, electrical vehicles, nonconventional energy.

College provides well equipped laboratories along with computational facilities and centre of excellence in the field of heating ventilation air conditioning. Majority faculties are doctorial from various NITs and IITs.
