NEP 2020

This initiative was started by Indo Universal Collaboration for Engineering Education (IUCEE) with 14 of its institutes in which RIT, Rajaramnagar is the one of them. The motive behind this program is to address the goals of the New Education Policy(NEP) which calls for graduates to be well-rounded, multidisciplinary and creative with ethical values. They must possess cognitive and professional skills and be innovative and entrepreneurial, thereby contributing to a growing economy and a sustainable world.

The Goal of “IUCEE Mission NEP” is to change “How We Teach” in order to address the NEP goals. The initial focus of this mission is on First Year (FY) Students with one pilot batch of FY students from all disciplines.

The change process will include:

As the moto of this mission is “How we Teach” the emphasis will be on following strategies.

  • Use Case Studies, models, simulations
  • Use Student Centered Pedagogy
  • Nurture Social Emotional Learning
  • Encourage Critical Thinking and Design Thinking Strategies
  • Foster Innovation and Entrepreneurship
  • Introduce emerging technologies as Minicourses
  • Engage with local community and industry for real work experiences

As per the guidelines NEP division is formed from newly admitted F. Y. B. Tech students in the academic year 2021-22. Total 60 students from all the branches are selected. The faculties teaching to NEP division are using various active learning techniques and tools for student centered learning

For each Minicourse 10 students have been allotted. The IUCEE experts conducted the Mini Course in online mode with weekly assignments.
